In a one-stage meningioma procedure, the tumour is removed together with a carefully planned section of surrounding bone, and the skull is reconstructed during the same operation. To prepare for this, our engineers first hold an intake meeting with the surgeon to agree on the resection margins and understand the surgical objectives. Based on this information, a bespoke cutting guide and patient-specific implant are then designed and manufactured to ensure accuracy and a precise fit. If the surgery schedule is urgent, the design and production turnaround can be expedited to meet tighter timelines.

Our onlay titanium cranial implants are custom 3D-printed to match the patient’s skull defect precisely, avoiding the need for intraoperative bending or adjustment. They are biocompatible, strong yet thin, and feature a patented lattice structure that reduces thermal discomfort while maintaining strength. Turnaround can be expedited to accommodate urgent surgery schedules.
Bifrontal Connect
Our Bifrontal Connect PEEK plates are designed in multiple parts that overlap to create a seamless reconstruction across large cranial defects. Using a pre-operative CT scan, we can accurately restore the patient’s original anatomy, with the option to under-contour plates where skin shrinkage is expected. If no pre-op scan is available, we can select a suitable reference skull from our database matched by age and sex to achieve a natural result.
